Sopotnick's Cabbage Patch Bar
About This Spot
There’s a certain unmistakable ease that greets you as you step into Sopotnick's Cabbage Patch Bar, an enduring spot where time seems to stretch comfortably between the clink of cold beers and the hum of familiar tunes. Nestled in New Smyrna Beach, this is not just any bar—it’s a meeting ground for longtime locals and visitors drawn by a shared love of good company, live music, and a laid-back ambiance that effortlessly blends casual with a touch of rugged charm.
The pace here feels natural, unrushed, as if the world outside simply pauses while you find your seat at the bar or shuffle up to the pool table. Conversations ebb and flow with the rhythm of the jukebox and the occasional cheer from a spirited game or lively event. Whether it’s a weekend evening or the lively surge of bike festivities, the atmosphere wraps around you like an old, comfortable leather jacket—worn but welcoming.
Food and drink find their place as part of the tapestry of the experience, never rushed or overstated. There’s the satisfying simplicity of a pulled pork sandwich or a plate of chili cheese fries enjoyed alongside a frosty Stella Artois or a chilled Twisted Tea, all contributing to moments shared across tables and bar stools. These are flavors that feel right for the setting—unpretentious, hearty, and perfect to fuel the laughter, the stories, or the spontaneous sing-alongs that often break out.
Sopotnick's isn’t just a bar; it’s a local landmark that thrives on human connection. From the spirited competitions that bring the community together to the live music that colors the night, it’s a place where memories are made gently and genuinely. Here, you discover that authenticity doesn’t come from flash or hype, but from a deep-rooted sense of place and the welcoming spirit of those who call it their own.

I've lived here since 1988, the place is exactly like I was here the 1st time. Good bartenders, cold beer unique atmosphere and real easy place to drink. During the bike festivities the place is packed twice a year. I like the weekends the best.

Great fun. Great music especially Donnies Big Daddy Band. Best vendors. Always. The famous Cole Slaw Wrestling between women is unforgettable. 2023 Bike Week, 'Cookie' took them all to be the champ! Great place to ride n enjoy!

Daytonas oldest biker bar is one of the places you should check out if you’ve never been. Visitors and residents make this a very colorful place to head on a Friday or Saturday night if you are from out of town. They have a pool table and a jukebox and friendly female barkeeps. It’s THE place to be during any Harley events. Coming to visit Daytona? Check this place out for sure.

Stopped in for daytona bike week and had a great time. Cabbage wrestling, vendors, and shows. It was great. Wanted a patch but didn't get one. Maybe next time.

Hit the Patch right after the Son's of Speed vintage motorcycle races to let the traffic clear up some, stayed for hours. Just too much fun to leave. Everything was great, food (pulled pork sandwich), cold beverages, Live music & ride directly into the party and park. It is huge but very well organized.

BikeWeek 2025. It was my first time, and I enjoyed the entire experience. Bartenders were fast and efficient, friendly smiles. Drinks were very reasonably priced. Music outside plenty of seating. Highly recommended

A home town little bar where everyone is family and friendly. Bartender's greet you as you come in and ready to serve your favorite beverage. They also have customer appreciation Sunday once a month. Car show and FREE FOOD. Great Bands on the weekend.
